StudyReel Caliper Events

StudyReel utilizes Caliper Analytics, a 1EdTech standard, to provide structured data about user activities within your app and StudyReel. By listening to these Caliper events, you can gain insights into user behavior and take action to improve the learning experience. These events help standardize the collection and transmission of learning activity data, making it easier to analyze and respond in real time.

What Are Caliper Events?

Caliper events capture various types of activities or user actions within the learning environment. These events are communicated in real time, providing critical insights into student behaviors like engagement, progress, and interaction with the content. Each event follows a standardized structure, which includes an action, an actor (user), an object (the resource being acted upon), and optional contextual data.

Developers can subscribe to these Caliper events to monitor user interactions with their app and send their own events back to StudyReel.
